Title: Where To Hunt For Coins In Foothills.

freedomlover - January 27, 2008 05:44 PM (GMT)
Hello,

I am knew to the blog and new to metal detecting. I bought a bounty hunter tracker IV on ebay for a very good price. I have found a few horse shows, some old bullets and tons of square nails and some relatively new coins. I am wondering where there is a good place to hunt for older coins. I am also wondering if anyone has any tips on my detector, how to get the most out of it. I live outside of Cameron Park which is up hwy 50 from Folsom.

Thanks

yards of older (1940s and older) homes. Good place to start, since, unlike parks and schools, home-yards are less likely to be hit. This is especially true of the 1940s/50s homes, where you can find silver, yet unlikely others have knocked on doors.
