what does wheat mean in reference to coins. And clad.

Wheat is a penny made from 1909-1958. On the back there are two ears of wheat.
Clad is coinage made since 1965 (Dimes, Quartes, Halves after 1970). Clad silver is half dollars from 1965-1970.
