Title: Catalog Or Hometown Dealer
Description: Who is the best to purchase from?

captnorm - December 14, 2005 05:25 AM (GMT)
Another  "silly" question. Who should I buy from, catalog sales or hometown dealer? I know that catalog will sell me equipment cheaper, but will they give me good service down the line? If I walk into a hometown dealer this person will show me everything that he/she sells but will he/she try to push a slow seller on me because I'm new to this? Tell me your 'secrets" to get the best service and equipment for my money. We will be moving 35 miles east of Phoenix, AZ in May 2006.

Thanks all for your replies.

I would look at what the local dealer has to show.
Also think about trade in units. I don't think the dealer would push a slow mover on you.

Local dealer hands down.

Thanks for the replies, although catalog sales will save me some money, I believe in the long run the hometown dealer will benefit me better in personal service. Thanks again! :)

The local dealer can often match or beat catalog sales, and the service is almost always much, much better.

Where are you located? There might be a friendly dealer reading this that could help you out...

Have a dealer for White's about 30 miles away, talked to him today and will see him next week. Thanks for all the replies.

Hi Captnorm,
This guy is really nice, has great service and really good prices if you do want the internet alternative. I ordered a vibraprobe and it came really fast, and was the best price I could find anywhere.

Local dealers are probably better
except if you live in Pasadena <_<
