Title: Viewing "attached Images"

highrailer - January 29, 2006 03:31 AM (GMT)
Today is the first time I have checked out this form in a long time. I see a lot of posts that have "attached images", how do I go about viewing them? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm guessing you're using a personal firewall. If so, you need to tell your firewall that 209.85.48.12 is a trusted address (that's the image server).

I don't think the firewall blocks images (otherwise, it would have blocked this forum too).
Just open the topic with the attached image, and the image will apper at the bottom of the post.

A lot of folks are using personal firewalls (software-based) and they don't like host addresses that don't have a DNS A or PTR record (such as the image server). Telling them it's a trusted address resolves the issue.

Zone Alarm Pro has an ad blocking filter that when enabled will block a lot of images that you might want to see. If you are using a firewall or something else like Norton Suite then try lowering the ad filter settings. I sell stuff on Ebay and kept getting emails that people couldnt see my images....turns out that the word "ad" in the image url was causing a problem with their filtering software.....hope that helps someone anyway.
