Advice on seeded hunt

I;m not really a beginner but I've never done this before. There's a seeded hunt next week at the beach and my wife wants to go. I'll probably just stand back and watch, she;s the lucky one!! Any advice on the best tactics. We'll probably dig out the old IDXPRO because of the frequency shift. Thanks. Tony

All metal mode, wide sweeps, as fast as md response is & dig fast & shallow!

Find out what target coins and tokens will be seeded and make sure you don't discriminate any of them out. (A few years back, steel pennies were tossed along with other targets, but most people discriminated them out).

Back off on the gain to avoid interference from other detectors. Targets are shallow.

Stay away from anyone using a PI. You can hear them on your earphones from 10 feet away.

Thanks guys, I've just learned that PIs and Big Foot coils are not allowed. With your input I'll turn the little woman loose and the guys in the hunt will never know what hit'm. Thanks, Tony
